Event Title: “RAITE Hackathon 2023 AI Nexus: Convergence of Technology and Human Ingenuity”

I.      Details of the event/activity

 

 

I attended the RAITE Hackathon 2023, named AI Nexus: Where Technology Meets Human Innovation, held at the AUF Sports and Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga. This event, co-organized by the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators - Central Luzon (PSITE-CL) and iPhiTech, the leading AI company in the country, took place on October 20, 2023, running from 8 am to 5 pm. The event featured various competitions like Lip Sync Battles, Quiz Bee, Lanyard Design, E-Games (Mobile Legends), and more. To improve future events, adding diverse contests and providing a clearer schedule could enhance the overall experience for participants.

 

II.    Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

 

The event underscored the importance of keeping abreast of AI advancements for maintaining competitiveness. It demonstrated how teamwork, imagination, and enthusiasm are pivotal for success in the IT realm. Crucially, it emphasized how AI amplifies human capabilities rather than supplanting them. Moreover, the event provided increased opportunities for students, like myself, aspiring to enhance their skills for better job prospects in the upcoming years. As a suggestion, expanding workshops or mentorship programs could further support students' skill development in future events.

 

III.   Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learning)

 

The RAITE Hackathon 2023 highlights the importance of continuous learning and creativity in the tech scene. I can apply these lessons by promoting participation in tech contests, motivating folks to keep up with new tech, and mixing tech with creative ideas to improve my skills. This event encourages both students and pros to keep learning and innovating in tech, using its potential to make good changes in society. Suggestions for future events might include hosting workshops on combining tech with creativity and organizing talks on staying updated in the tech field.

 

IV.  Positive feedback (on the event organization)

 

Big thanks to the organizers for setting up the RAITE Hackathon 2023 so well! The competitions, fun stuff to do, smart judges, and cool prizes made it a blast. Hoping for more awesome events from iPhiTech and PSITE-CL in the future! Maybe add some mini-games or quick challenges next time for even more fun!

 

V.    Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities

 

 

I think the event was great, and I can't really think of anything that needs fixing. Maybe adding some fun activities could make it even better, but honestly, it's already awesome as it is!
