IT SEMINARS AND EDUCATIONAL TRIPS
Event Title: “Zero to Hero using Adobe Premiere”
I. Details of the event/activity
Mastering Video Editing Techniques was a fascinating webinar I
recently attended that went into the subject of video editing while
highlighting key concepts for improving films and creating captivating visual
tales. the webinar was held using Facebook and Zoom as the hosting
services. It was put on by CHED UNIFAST as part of their Skill Enhancement,
Engagement, and Development: A Learning Intervention to Nurture Grantees
(SEEDLING PROJECT) initiative.
II.
Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)
Over the course of this webinar, I learned a lot about the world of
video editing. I already had a strong basis in design concepts because I'm an
IT student, but this class gave me new insights and creative suggestions
specifically suited to video editing. Complex components like elaborate
textures, overlays, and abrupt transitions were shown to possibly hinder from
the final output. The teacher highlighted the significance of simplicity in
video design, reflecting the notion that "less is more." By embracing
simplicity, we can produce video cuts that are clear, aesthetically pleasing,
and successful in getting the point through.
This experience has motivated me to pursue a path of creating video
content that is both straightforward and impactful, ensuring a clear and
engaging message while maintaining aesthetic appeal. Thanks to this webinar, I
now possess the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of video editing
and design.
III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar
input on a practical level (practical application of learning)
The knowledge I've acquired from this course will be really helpful
in my current video editing job. I've developed the core abilities required to
produce polished and accurate video assets by taking a fundamental approach. My
enthusiasm for game creation has been rekindled by the information I've gained,
which also improves my career chances.
In my position, where I regularly work on video editing projects,
success depends on establishing a solid foundation. My ability to create
engaging video content will surely improve as a result of the ideas I've learnt
during this program. This newly acquired knowledge also creates a wonderful
synergy between my work and my interest for game creation.
IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)
The webinar's
organization is surprisingly simple and easy to understand. Beginning with a
thorough and straightforward introduction of the subject, it makes sure that
participants quickly understand the most important ideas.
The speaker's
style is quite enticing, which promotes engagement and inspires deeper
investigation of certain design components. This interactive format encourages
participants to test out the ideas independently and go further into the field
of design.
Although the
webinar's briefness is helpful for people who want fast-paced learning, given
the time allotted for the event, it might use more substantive substance.
V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for
future activities
Despite the fact that I felt the training was good, there are a few
changes that I believe would really set it apart. Once more, the short webinar,
which I think lasted only around thirty minutes. The Question & Answer
session is a little bit longer than the main webinar, where the speaker
received several inquiries and gave thorough answers.
